Pixelate an image

Hide what shouldn't be seen before you post: a license plate on a car ad, a name tag, a phone screen, a house number, a face in the background. Drag a box over each spot and it turns into chunky pixels. Turn the strength up until nothing is recognisable, or switch to blur or a black bar for a different look. The rest of the photo stays untouched, in full resolution.

FAQ

Can pixelation be undone?

Strong pixelation can't be reversed: the detail is gone from the saved file. Very light pixelation on large text can sometimes still be guessed, so keep the strength high for names and numbers.

Can it pixelate faces automatically?

Yes. Switch on automatic face detection above, or use the Blur faces page where it's on by default.

Is my photo uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser; the picture never leaves your device.
