Reduce PDF file size

Most email providers reject attachments above 20–25 MB, and many application portals stop at 5 or 10 MB. This page is preset to strong compression: images inside the PDF are scaled to about 150 dpi and recompressed, which usually cuts scanned documents by 80–95% while text stays sharp.

    Will it be readable when printed?

    Yes for normal documents: 150 dpi is fine for reading and printing text pages. For photo-heavy print jobs choose Light.

    It is still too big. What now?

    Split the PDF into parts, or check whether it contains mostly vector content, which compression cannot shrink much.
