How it works

FAQ

How is this different from a classic meme?

A classic meme puts white capitals with a black outline on the picture itself. Here the text is black on a white bar, so the whole picture stays visible, and it keeps the upper and lower case you type. You can switch between both styles at any time.

Can I have a bar only at the top?

Yes. A bar only appears where there is text: leave the bottom field empty and you get a single bar above the picture.

How long can the caption be?

Up to about six lines. The longer the text, the smaller the letters, so very long captions get hard to read on a phone.

Is my image uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser and the picture never leaves your device. Nothing is added to the file either: no watermark, no logo.
